The Water of the Word or the Watered-Down Word?
Even among people who do not believe the KJV is the Word of God in the English language it is admitted that the newer versions of the Bible water-down certain doctrines of the Bible. For instance, if the King James mentions the Trinity in 15 verses, the newer versions might mention it only 5 or 6 times. Where Eternal Security might be mentioned 8 times, in the newer versions it might be 2 or 3. Take a brief look at what the modern translations have done to our Lord.
Among other things the Bible refers to itself as a sword.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 1
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 2
